MANIFESTATION

Prompt:

Remembering our examination of FOCUS last week, what is a related MANIFESTATION that you can repeat for yourself this year?


My answer:

Abundant creativity.

What is manifestation?

Manifesting is all about believing that you already have something and letting it come to you, so speak in the present and use active words. For example, instead of saying "I want be creative today”, say "I'm creative today” This changes your mindset into a positive and PRESENT state.


Is there any science behind it?

The [pseudo] science behind manifestation is the idea that there is real impact from positive thinking - which turns into positive action - and as we have previously discussed there is great importance of habitual action as we work toward our goals. This practice can be developed through visualization, journaling, repetitive actions, and other techniques. (We will discuss visualization and other methods in later weeks)


We have all heard the term “the power of positive thinking”, manifestation is a specific actionable version of this idea.


Forget science, give me the woo woo:

The universe responds to your energetic frequency so if you vibrate at the higher frequency (one of love, kindness or prosperity for example), then the Universe will respond in kind.


My personal belief is both the scientific and spiritual aspects are great data points. For however you lean in a personal nature, there is value in the practice.


Some things to try:

  • Vision board

  • Journaling

  • Repeat positive affirmations

  • Surround yourself with positivity (or remove negativity)

  • Follow through with your vision (this involves confidence and determination)

  • Some people like the 369 method…
